Often for a disabled child the barriers to attending school can be simple physical ones. If they are unable to get through classroom doors, to access the toilets, or even see the blackboard, it means their opportunity to learn has gone forever.
But with this gift, Handicap International can change that. We can widen doors or windows, provide ramps, lower blackboards, provide suitable chairs, and make toilets accessible. Above all, we can give disabled children the access they need to an education that means they can go on to fulfil their potential.
